Range Rover Autobiography

If you enjoy the finer things in life, and, for what ever reason, dig the Rangie then the Autobiography is for you. The top of the range 4×4 has just about every conceivable gizmo and gadget as well as a bucket load of leather . Still not convinced? How about 20in diamond-turned alloy wheels…

Renault Koleos

The first 4×4 first vehicle to be produced by Renault, the Koleos was put out to show for the first time. According to Renault the Koleos is “easy to drive and boasts genuine off-road ability”. I’d believe the easy to drive statement but come on – genuine off-road ability – you’re going to need to do more than put it in marketing copy to make me believe that. Still, it’s not a bad alternative to the x-trail though.

Nissan NP300 pick-up

Not sure if I understand why, but apparently the price point of a new Navara was putting a few off, so they decided to re-launch the NP series. If I was shopping for a new pick-up the Navara would be top of my list, I hope the NP doesn’t dilute the focus on the Navara…

Isuzu Rodeo

Not a great story here, but Isuzu did announce a new cheap as chips 2wd version of its Rodeo Pick up. At more than half the price of the 161 BHP 4X4 Denver Max (also unveiled at the show), it will certainly appeal the price savvy tradesman.

Saab 9-4X

An eco 4X4 from Saab. Powered by BioPower Ethanol, this beautiful beast actually has a decent chance of success. It’s a pitty they’re not going to have the diesel option until 2010, but it’s nice to see a company have a good crack at a transformational off-roader to keep the greenies at bay.

Hummer HX

The hummer is getting smaller and cheaper but is still a dominating figure on the road. Buyer beware — buy one only if you can handle the amount of attention you’ll get behind the wheel of this big fat beast Absolute cool with a K….
